Albert Frost Portraits on 120mm B&W Film

Bakkes Images previously posted the digital images from the portrait shoot of well-known guitarist Albert Frost. On the same day photographer Riehan Bakkes made sure to burn a couple of rolls of medium format film and the results were fantastic.

"Initially I set out to shoot all the images on film but digital offered a secure medium to ensure we have good results no matter the outcome of the film once processed" says Riehan. "I miss film and analogue photography a lot. I was rather shocked when I discovered the cost involved in film currently and I certainly forgotten the logistical pains that comes with driving to the lab and back, scanning and removing dust . Nevertheless, Orms ProLab in Cape Town did a fantastic job taking care of the processing of the rolls".






The images were shot on Illford 120mm monochrome ISO100.
