Albert Frost

Albert Frost was in studio yesterday and it was a humbling experience. His talented blues performances are indescribable. The music was moving and the studio will never be the same again!

I recently attended one of Albert's performances and was inspired by his distinctive form when playing. It was during a song by Jimi Hendrix that I knew that this was what I wanted to capture.

For me, Albert connects with his instrument in an almost trans-like state where there is a sincere flow from his psyche into the guitar and ultimately the sound he produces. I imagine a breakdown of the barriers between his mind, nerves, impulses, hand movements, musical theory, effect pedals, amps and then sound. In the specific moment I hoped to capture there is only one single energy that creates what Albert Frost sounds like. It becomes a voice that is probably the closest thing to telepathy I have ever experienced. It is a serious movement of Albert Frost's soul as a gift to listeners.

Thanks again Albert for allowing me to capture a part of your soul.
