A recent commission by client Beau Joubert Wines required Bakkes Images to create and replace old packaging on their older photographs that has since become iconic murals for the brand.
Given the historical images (left) our studio produced images of the bottles accurately replicating the exact angles as depicted in the existing shots (right). Thereafter we could apply careful editing to the images by dropping the new shots in and realistically blending the surrounding environment into the new bottle shots. This was important as the surrounding props needed to reflect in the glass of the bottles in order to avoid flat and clearly inserted new shots.
Finally, since the new bottles did not contain the brand name on the caps it was our final task to add the names digitally sourced from older pack shots.
Digital edits and photographic combinations are always fun jobs to do. It can be frustrating at time but the key is to follow through on all the necessary steps, to work accurately, and visualize the end-product at all times.
